FAQs
What is SecondThought?
SecondThought is designed to help users detect insensitive content that users unknowingly have in their social media messages, texts, and short articles. It takes into account the circumstances in which the text was made to determine if the message was insensitive, and why.
Here are some of its main features:
Context: Add context to the message. Examples: “text message”, “social media post”, “during a sports event”
In response to: If applicable, add the message that your message is replying to. Examples: “someone posting an image”, “Hello”, “a social media post about __”
Detailed response: If clicked, AI will provide an extremely detailed response taking into account many possible reasons why your message may be insensitive. In our demo, it even accounts for how the robbers in an armed robbery may feel about your message.
Is SecondThought for me?
SecondThought can help in the following situations:
You send an email to your boss regarding the latest (negative) earnings report. However, you slip up and open with “what’s up?”
You are giving a presentation to younger audiences and say a word that was accepted a few years ago, but is unacceptable now
You are applying to colleges or jobs and want to figure out which posts need to be taken down.
You are a parent struggling to explain to your child why some content should not be posted online.
And so much more!
What are tokens?
Tokens are word fragments used to measure the length of a text. With our Early Access Deal, each key is loaded with 3 million tokens (~10,000 uses / ~1,000 uses of "detailed response").
